Control System
TekMov Control System
Our touchscreen user interface provides an intuitive control panel, designed to make router operation simple. Beginning development in 1986, the Tekmov control system has been running and advancing with CNC technology for over 30 years.
Mechanical Features
HSD Spindle (9kW)
Our routers are fit with durable Italian-made HSD 9kW spindles. Their robust design is capable of variable speeds up to 24,000 RPM. Resistant to high running temperatures, their internal ceramic bearings ensure long life and quiet operation.
Multibore Spindle
Optimize your workflow with our nine position multibore spindle. An essential in the cabinet making industry, this spindle allows multiple holes to be bored at the same time, speeding up production and streamlining your workflow.
Automatic Tool Change
All Tekcel routers are equipped with an auto-tool change system, which can support up to 99 tools, and store up to 17 in the tool rack at any time. A time-efficient solution that supports the growing demands of industrial manufacturing.
Automatic Tool Length Sensor
Hands-off tool sensing measures your tool’s exact length – minimizing the chances of under or over-cutting. Toggle on for any tool bit to sense the tool’s length before its next use.
Ballscrew Drive
All axes are fit with a recirculating ball screw drive system. This eliminates the contact wear and backlash common with rack and pinion systems, delivering reliable accuracy and repeatability in position.
Linear Rails
Smooth travel and a high level of accuracy are enhanced by linear rails on all four axes. Easy access grease points and recirculating balls inside these bearing blocks reduce wear over time.
Brushless Servo Motors
AC servo motors work with our controller to constantly check their position and compensate for extra load while cutting. This closed feedback loop enables the controller to maintain cutting accuracy at all times.
Heavy Duty Steel Construction
Our routers are machined and welded with precision to ensure rigid construction – reducing vibration and allowing for finely tuned cut quality. Heat treating relieves internal stresses, assuring machining accuracy and stability.
Table Top
Extruded Aluminium Slats
We use proprietary aluminium extrusions, compatible with T- slot clamping systems and specially designed to withstand the stresses of our strong vacuum hold down. This, in combination with our precision-milled plastic top, creates a table with the flatness required for cut-to-mask applications.
Alignment & Registration
Laser Pointer
Representing the centre of the tool bit, the laser pointer can be used to set a unique job origin or preview the bounding box of a job. This pinpoint accuracy reduces the risk of error and ensures you get the most out of your material before you cut.
Pop Up Pins
Each machine bed is fit with five pop-up pins, ensuring consistent registration every time. Choose to raise or lower the pins from the control screen during setup or begin cutting and the pins will drop automatically.
Dust Extraction
Bellows Dust Foot
Our bellows dust foot prevents air leakage, enhancing swarf extraction while cutting. Open or close the rear valve to optimize suction as needed. Designed to suit a collection of dust feet, the same system can accommodate a variety of applications.
CAD/CAM Software
ProfileLab 2D Software
ProfileLab CAD/CAM software has been supplied with Tekcel routers for over 30 years. Training is included with each Tekcel machine, allowing you to create your own plot files, and personalize the tooling and materials library to streamline your workflow.
Specifically designed for CNC machining, ProfileLab 2D offers extensive 2D toolpathing capabilities without the extensive learning curve.

Tooling Start-Up Kit
Our tooling startup kit ensures you have everything you need to get you up and running on delivery. Each machine comes with a set of three tool holders, your choice of three tools with matching collets, one skimming bit and a cover nut spanner.
Safety & Maintenance Kit
We provide a general safety and maintenance kit with every machine. This kit contains earmuffs, safety glasses, grease gun & coupler, grease cartridge, tool holder cleaning pad, CRC and shim plates for machine leveling.

Alignment & Registration
Wireless Pulse Generator
The wireless pulse generator is used for fine origin adjustment. Wireless connection with the touchscreen control panel allows the operator to be next to the machine and closely observe as they make changes to the X, Y and Z origins.
Dust Extraction
Bellows Long Bristle Attachment
Great for processing wood or deep 3D work across varying planes. Our long bristle dust foot is lined with soft bristles, measuring 40mm long. This curtain works to minimize cleanup by keeping the router bit and excess swarf concealed while cutting.
Tekcel Dust Extractor
Our high-pressure wet and dry dust extraction system ensures minimal cleanup after cutting. Integration into the router’s control system provides the ability to choose from manual or automatic operation. Includes an articulated arm and 10 meters of hose.
Articulated Swing Arm
Our durable, steel swing arm rotates with the machine, keeping the Z Axis extraction hose suspended during cutting. This clearance allows the machine to move freely across the bed preventing collisions with the hose.
Dust Extractor Muffler
For use with our Tekcel Dust Extractor to reduce noise levels during machine operation. Recommended when the machine is positioned in a busy work environment. Use alongside our Vacuum Pump Muffler for extra noise reduction.
Dust Extractor Switch Gear
Using a switch gear enables you to integrate a third party dust extractor into your machine system. Once set up, the dust extractor can be controlled through our user interface, with options for automatic or manual activation.
Vacuum Hold Down
Labyrinth Vacuum Tabletop
Unique to our M Series router – our labyrinth vacuum tabletop is formatted specifically for full sheet work. The network allows the operator to block or open the vacuum hold down according to standard sheet sizes.
Vacuum Pump Muffler
Connects to the vacuum exhaust to reduce noise levels during machine operation. We recommended adding a muffler when the machine is positioned in a busy work environment. Use alongside our Dust Extractor Muffler for extra noise reduction.
Automated Material Handling
Scissor Lift
Our automated scissor lift raises sheet material to the router bed and positions them for loading, either manually or with our sheet loading system.
Bollards
Positioned along the edges of our scissor lift, our steel bollards act as a guide to ensure the accurate alignment of sheets.
Sheet Loading System
Our sheet loader uses suction cups to pull sheet material onto the router bed and accurately aligns it against pop-up pins, squaring the material for processing without involving the operator.
Scraper Arm
Our Tekmov controller automatically activates our scraper arm to push a finished sheet from the front to the back of our CNC router and onto our outfeed table.
Outfeed Table
Our steel outfeed table provides a stationary surface at the end of the machine for the scraper arm to offload sheets. This enables the operator to pick and sort offloaded parts while our CNC router is processing the next sheet, saving you time and money.
Outfeed Conveyor
After the scraper arm offloads the finished material, our outfeed conveyor incrementally feeds cut parts to the operator at the end of the conveyor to optimise workflow.
Safety Barriers
Light Curtain
Our light curtain keeps one machine side open, while still providing protection during machine operation. Using a parallel transmitter and receiver, an invisible safety screen is powered up while cutting. If obstructed, the machine stops – protecting the operator from moving machinery.
Light Curtain Corner
For use when two open machine sides are preferred. Use alongside our standard Light Curtain to reflect the light screen to 90 degrees. Wrap the screen around the side of the machine without compromising the integrity of the system.
Mesh Barrier
Mesh Barriers are used where the machine requires physical blocking. Barriers are made from 25mm x 25mm wire mesh. Height and width will be configured to your selected machine size and workshop requirements.

Warranty
Tommotek offers a full 12 month warranty for their Tekcel CNC Routers from date of installation. This covers all parts of the machine from defects in materials and/or workmanship.
Note: This warranty may be void if the machine has been subject to accident, alteration, abuse or misuse, or unauthorized repair.
