Celebrating Black Swan’s Tekcel Enduro CNC Router.

We were thrilled to attend the launch of Black Swan State Theatre Company’s brand-new Tekcel Enduro at their production facility in Bassendean.

Black Swan’s production facility plays a critical role in supporting the local WA sector with specialised set builds, costume creations, repairs, storage, and equipment hires.

The addition of a Tekcel Enduro machine to their production process enables their team to effortlessly sculpt, cut and shape materials with high accuracy to their programmed designs. This significantly expands Black Swan’s design capabilities and efficiency in creating sets and props for the WA arts industry.

We’re delighted to hear that after just a few months of operating their Enduro machine, the Black Swan production team have already saved over 100 hours in manufacturing time!

Jobs that might have taken days to cut by hand can now be completed in just hours. For example, this Lotterywest mini bench was completed on their Tekcel Enduro.

This increased efficiency frees up Black Swan’s production team to take on more jobs, allowing the company to expand its workload.

Lotterywest awarded a grant of $95,000 to Black Swan State Theatre Company to support their equipment purchase and training requirements.

This generous grant provides invaluable support to the local arts industry by creating more pathways for the Black Swan team to nurture and maintain specialised skills, ensuring these opportunities and jobs remain available in WA.

We’d like to extend a big thank you to Lotterywest for not only supporting the local Arts industry, but also for giving Black Swan the opportunity to support local businesses like ours.

Stay tuned to see what the talented Black Swan team will build next. To see what’s coming up in their Season 2025 program, visit Black Swan State Theatre Company of WA.
